Blank pages...

Because somehow the pages in my notebooks remain blank
I am forced these days to turn to other people for my words.
This you may have noticed.
Whether they be highly respected romantic poets or
just common people like me I discovered on the net...
I am thankful that somehow they have felt the same emotions as I
and have managed to translate them into beautiful sentences.
It is thrilling to read and use those perfect sentences that thrill me to the core,
but at the same time it's a drag as they remind me of my ever fighting inner creative existence that's still having a hard time trying to find a way out...
but it's a struggle I will never be prepared to give up
and well, if it proves to be an uphill struggle
then in the end it will be worth every drop of sweat and blood

The Importance of Friendship...

THE PERFECT FRIEND© S.J. McGrath
I thought I had found the perfect friend,
But it only took about a week for that to end,
I thought there was hope left in my life,
But as it turns out, it was only added strife,
I thought for once I had done something right,
But I quickly corrected that oversight,
I thought I wasn’t useless or a bore,
But I was all that and even more,
I thought there was a purpose to my days,
But that was only a very short phase,
I thought you weren’t like all the rest,
But like those before, you failed the test,
I thought you would stay with me, at least for a bit,
But you decided it was better just to quit,
I thought life was worth living for a moment in time,
But the life I wanted could never be mine,
I thought the hunger inside had been fed,
But now I know, I was just being misled.
And now I think I’ve found another perfect friend,
How long before my heart is broken again

...as yet you've not got your niche in creation...

"You’re neither unnatural, nor abominable, nor mad;you’re as much a part of what people call nature as anyone else; only you’re unexplained as yet you’ve not got your niche in creation."

~Radclyffe Hall (1883–1943), spoken by the tutor character, Puddle, inThe Well of Loneliness (1928)

HELP

Help, I need somebody,
help, not just anybody,
help, you know I need someone, help.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone,
I'm not so self assured,
now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down,
and I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
won't you please, please, help me.
And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
my independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down,
and I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
won't you please, please, help me.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these daya are gone, I'm not so self assured,
now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down,
and I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
won't you please, please, help me, help me, help me, oh.

How words can make life beautiful...

He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven by William Butler Yeats

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Radiohead

I don't say it that often but Radiohead do manage to put down a rather good cover of The Headmaster's Ritual - which in essence always was and will be a brilliant song.
